Our goal is to provide students with a quality experience within a supportive and educational environment. It is our belief that dance is a magnificent art form that develops discipline, cognitive focus, and expressive awareness.
Artistic Director
Cindy is from Denver, Colorado where she dance with the acclaimed Kit Andre and The Performing Arts Center. While in Denver, she had the opportunity to perform at the historic Bonfils Theater in the their productions of "Peter Pan" and "Follies." Cindy attended the University of Northern Colorado where she studied dance and got her degree in Education.
Cindy has owned and operated the Liberty Dance Center for twenty eight years. She continues to study dance in the summers traveling to Chicago, Las Vegas, Phoenix and New York. This year will be her twenty seventh year to return as a judge for the Symposium National Dance Competition. Cindy travels to several different cities in the winter and spring judging various competitions. She is recognized as an outstanding tap dancer and choreographer. Cindy loves working with children and feels very fortunate to be able to share her love for dance with her students.
Teacher
Kayla grew up in West Liberty and was a student of Cindy's at the Liberty Dance Center. While in high school, she was a much loved assistant teacher. Kayla qualified for the Kids Artistic Revue National competition in Panama City, Florida and performed both a jazz and tap number with her dance group. She had the opportunity to travel with Cindy to New York City and take classes at the Broadway Dance Center. Kayla was part of the WLHS Dance team and was an Assistant Coach with Calista Heckman. Kayla comes to us with a solid knowledge of dance, experience working with children and a kind, caring heart.
Teacher
Cami started her love for dance at a young age and began taking classes and acting as a teacher assistant for Liberty Dance Center the first year it opened in 1994. Since then, Cami has continued to assist, choreograph, and help out where needed throughout the years. She was a member and captain on the WLHS Dance Team, as well as a member and captain of the Luther College Dance Team. Cami was able to study abroad for a semester at the University of Newcastle in Australia where she had the opportunity to be part of their dance team and attend classes at the Sydney Dance Company. Cami continues to study dance, alongside Cindy, in New York, Phoenix and Las Vegas.
Cami graduated from Luther College with a degree in Business Administration and is General Manager for Saige Partners. She lives in West Liberty and is excited to be teaching at Liberty Dance Center.
